Perfect Party PlanningHosting a party doesn't mean you can’t enjoythe festivities, pre-planning will equal fun for you too!
Follow these steps and you will enjoy your planning and your party.
Steps you need to take before the party:
Select a Date, Time, Location, and Guest List.
You need this information to create invitations and organize your party.
Create A Timeline:
By creating a timeline for
planning you will stay on target for such tasks as, venue selection,
food and beverage needs, decorations, invitations etc.
Create a Budget:
Similar to creating a timeline,
the budget is critical to party success. You can’t have good time
if you are worried about spending too much money.
To create a Budget think of each detail and create an expense list, which may include: Food and Beverages, Invitations and Postage, Venue costs, Deposits, Party Favors, etc.
Create a Theme:
Theme selections are only limited by your imagination.
Choosing a Theme may help you to determine food, décor, music, games etc.
Not every party needs a Theme but if you are stuckon where to start in your planning, this just may help you.
Decorations:
Decorations can reflect your theme or just be understated and elegant.
You
can tie your theme and color décor together to include the paper goods,
invitiations, party favors, entertainment and of course a Diaper Cake!
Steps you need to take Day of the party:
By creating a party agenda you will know where you stand for each activity from food to games.
Remember, the agenda is just a guide to keep you on track. Don’t hold yourself to unreasonable deadlines.
Your Party Agenda may include:
Time
Activity
arrival – cocktails/appetizers
Guest of Honor arrival
food service
games
entertainment
dessert service
Party Clean Up:
Arrange for extra garbage bags for easy cleanup.
Paper towels, cloths, cleaning supplies are a must.
To package up food efficiently, ensure you have foil, plastic wrap, sandwich bags and plastic containers with lids. You will be glad you did.
Taking
around an empty bucket disposes of left over beverages in one sweep.
You will be surprised you never thought of this before.
